Threshold71 is a free, openly maintained web directory — an expedition index of sites surveyed and logged across 22 subject sectors. Each entry is filed by primary function: from legal counsel and dental care to wagering platforms and travel operators. The index treats every listed site as a field entry to be recorded, described, and made navigable.
The directory was built on the premise that the open web benefits from systematic mapping. Most discovery tools are tuned to recency or popularity; Threshold71 aims instead for breadth and coverage — a reference instrument rather than a recommendation engine. Sites are filed where they fit, without preference for scale or territory.
Submissions are accepted across all 22 sectors at no cost. Once received, a brief review is conducted to confirm the entry is a functioning site and is filed under the correct sector. The review is not editorial — it does not assess quality, rank operators, or filter by commercial category.
Threshold71 is updated as new entries arrive. The index currently logs 834 field entries across sectors ranging from the very small (Land Survey & Territory Holdings, 5 entries) to the very large (Uncharted Ground & General Entries, 189 entries). Every sector is open for submission.
The name Threshold71 refers to the threshold of a charted territory — the point at which unrecorded terrain becomes part of the record. If your site is not yet logged, the submission form is the way in.
